Who is Dr Cathie Harvey?
Dr Harvey is a qualified registered veterinarian and natural vet who has been practising for over 30 years in both companion and farm animals. She uses veterinary homeopathy as her main natural treatment. Dr Cathie Harvey is the only fully qualified veterinary homeopath in South Australia. She is vice president of the Integrative Veterinarians of the Australian Veterinary Association and a member of the British Faculty of Homeopathy, The International Association of Veterinary Homeopathy and The British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons.
What does she do?
Dr Harvey provides integrative veterinary care for her patients both large and small. Most conditions that are treated with conventional veterinary medicine can be treated using holistic modalities. Common conditions include; skin, hormonal, geriatric, musculoskeletal, urinary, gut conditions and cancers. Holistic natural treatment takes into consideration the whole animal including; animal history, diet, vaccinations, parasite treatments and environment.
As well at veterinarian treatment consultations, Dr Harvey offers consultations providing advice for new pets on vaccination options, nutrition and parasite control for animal owners wanting to help place their pets on a healthy lifetime path.
Additionally, owing to Dr Cathie Harvey’s practical and long term involvement in her own Certified Organic/ Biodynamic farm, she is well placed to provide Herd Health advice for Organic livestock farms.
How does she do it?
Dr Cathie Harvey’s main natural treatment modality used is homeopathy. This may be used in conjunction with other natural treatments and conventional medicine where required. The patients health and well being is her primary focus. Dr Harvey operates out of her treatment room in Albert Park, Adelaide and also from her property at Narrung, South Australia.
